In this track you learn to apply biophysical (biomechanics/physiology) methods in fields of health and rehabilitation.
track High Performance Coaching
This track has been developed in collaboration with the Amsterdam Institute of Sport Science , and focuses on the application of scientific knowledge in the field op top sport coaching.
For this reason, you will conduct your research project in collaboration with a top sport coach. (A maximum of 20 students can be admitted per year; selection based on letter of motivation.)
In this track your learn to tackle sports-related issues from a, predominantly biophysical perspective (muscle and exercise physiologics and biomechanics).
track Sport Psychology
This track covers the broad field of sport psychology, and also provides potential links to health-related issues.
It provides you with an excellent background for a post-graduate course to become an accredited sport psychologist.

Toelating en kosten
|WO bachelor||Students with a bachelor's degree in Human Movement Sciences (either from VU university or the RUG) or Health Sciences with a major Human Movement Sciences (UM) or Medical Sciences with a major Human Movement Sciences (Radboud Universiteit) have direct access to the master's programme HMS.
If you have a HBO bachelor's degree and want to be admitted to the master's programme Human Movement Sciences, you will have to take the HBO assessment (or premaster assessment). This assessment provides insight in the competences and skills that you need to complete the Master's programme successfully. The results of this assessment are binding. Note, however, that there is some room for compensation of lower scores on some subjects, by means of higher scores on other subjects or other criteria apart from the assessment.
You can be admitted directly to the master's programme, if you have one of the following WO bachelor's degrees:
- Human Movement Sciences (VU Amsterdam)
- Human Movement Sciences (RUG)
- Health Sciences with major Human Movement Sciences (UM)
- Medical Sciences with major Human Movement Sciences (UM)
- Medical Sciences with major Human Movement Sciences (Radboud Universiteit)
Students with a Bachelor's degree other than Human Movement Sciences usually have to follow a premaster's programme before they can be admitted to the Master's programme. This programme comprises courses from the Bachelor's programme HMS, which are taught in Dutch. The programme usually sums up to 30 EC, but note that the actual programme may vary over students to accommodate differences in educational background.

The Admission Board will inform you on the final decision no later than July 1, 2018. The procedure may involve an intake interview.
