Waarom aan de UvA?

The research master's programme offers specialisations in all major fields of Psychology. Students can choose one field for their major and one for their minor. The unique and highly valued major-minor structure of the programme ensures that students are involved in advanced courses in at least two areas of Psychology.
Over a two-year period, students complete advanced courses on research methods and statistics. Furthermore, students will be trained in computer skills (programming) and writing and presentation skills. During the remaining time, students will take courses in two fields of their choice and receive excellent research experience.
The programme requires two separate research projects resulting in two research papers (Research Internship and Research Thesis), the latter should be written in the form of a publishable journal article. In their first master's year, students write their internship in close collaboration with a supervisor whereas the research thesis is carried out independently.
