objectives
The major aim of the Clinical Psychology master specialisation is to provide students with a theoretical background and basic skills for clinical psychology research, assessment and interventions.
The specialisation focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills relevant to the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychopathology. Students acquire advanced research skills by participating in a clinical psychology research project.
study abroad
Psychology students can study abroad for a semester. So, if your heart is set on studying at partner universities in Boston, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Florence or Oslo, go ahead; it will give you another unique and unforgettable experience! You won't be able to finish your master in a year though.
You will come into contact with other students and teachers, more cultures and increase your language skills and become a truly global citizen. It also improves your chances on the jobmarket. Leiden University has many exchange programmes with foreign universities in which important matters such as tuition fees, supervision and recognition of credits are already taken care of. This saves you time and money.
