						The Economics, Behaviour and Policy programme addresses several main questions such as: How do people and policy makers make decisions that affect economic, societal, and personal welfare? How do we measure and define this welfare? Which lessons follow from this for policy design? These and other issues are treated by drawing on state-of-the-art developments within the discipline of economics.

This Master's specialisation offers courses that consider cases from a European and international context to shape students' understanding of how policy affects economic behaviour and economic performance. Students are equipped with both mainstream economic methods as well as endowed with a critical attitude in line with the 'Economics Plus' perspective. They are expected to find positions in national policy making organisations, international policy bodies, and policy advisory and consulting companies.

The Master's in Economics, Behaviour and Policy is a specialisation of the Master's programme in Economics.

Students participate in a state-of-the-art Master's programme and are exposed to the most recent academic and practical developments in Economics, Behaviour and Policy. In addition to the standard economics package, a broad perspective on economics is offered. In this way, your perspective on economic policy, and how to make it more effective, will be expanded by knowledge from disciplines that include psychology, public choice and sociology.

opbouwEconomics, Behaviour and Policy is a specialisation of the one-year Master's programme in Economics, with a total course load of 60 EC. All courses are 6 EC and the Master's thesis is 18 EC. Internships are not a standard part of the curriculum, but we heartily support any student who wishes to do the extra work and undergo an internship.

Lectures in the core courses of this track are devoted to a wide range of current economic policy issues and real world scenarios. In the second semester students will also work on their Master's thesis.

A TOEFL score of ≥90, with subscores not lower than 18;
