The human brain has an immense capacity to process information and represent the outside world.

A critical question is how the various brain structures are involved in processing and representing emotions, actions, language, and concepts.

This question can only be successfully addressed by combining biological and cognitive perspectives on brain functioning. The Brain and Cognition programme at the Erasmus University Rotterdam offers such a combination of perspectives.

This specialisation focuses on psychopathology within adults, with the scientific approach as a central element.

In this Master programme we focus on studying the more complex varieties of psychopathology within an urban context – such as Rotterdam –we often face complex psychopathological problems, like crime-related issues, personality disorders and addiction.

This new master programme is aimed at forming science-informed practitioners in digital behaviour change.

How can we leverage technological innovations to tackle the most relevant health issues today? In this track psychological insights and evidence-based methods are used to create innovative technological solutions to target psychological problems, promote healthy behaviours and prevent unhealthy ones.

This master programme focusses on the role of the digital media in human thought and behaviour.

You will learn to apply theories from Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Educational Psychology to address this topic.
