"What I like about the master program in Wageningen is that it gives me lots of leeway to organize things according to my own preferences. The scale of Wageningen is compact, teachers are easily approached and tend to be open to anything. These things facilitate that I can put together my own study program.
Five years ago I started as a student at the the International Development Studies program and then switched to Applied Communication Science...
"My master program begins after the summer. But I won't start in Wageningen. My master begins in Äs in Norway where, from September through till the end of December, I will be following courses on ecology, environment and sustainability. I see this as a valuable addition. Primarily for myself as it is an opportunity to gain experience abroad. But also because Norway is ahead in the field of sustainability. They go by a far broader understanding of the term sustainability that connects it also with poverty and equality. The social aspect of sustainability, so to speak. And this matches beautifully with Applied Communication Science.
I would also like to do my internship and final thesis abroad. But before doing so I am definitely going to follow the Academic Consultancy Training (ACT). Everyone is teamed into groups with students from other disciplines to work on solving current issues in the world of business. Sounds like fun!"
