Sustainable Development
The Master's in Sustainable Development focuses on the analysis of changes needed to create sustainable solutions to achieve an environmentally and socially accountable society.The Master's programme in Sustainable Development (SD) is aimed at those who want to make a substantial contribution to the transition to a sustainable society through their scientific research; and who want to contribute to innovative future solutions for environmental issues. This two year research programme offers you the opportunity to develop excellent research skills and to apply them effectively to a broad range of specialised topics within the field of sustainable development.
In the whole first year, and the beginning of the second, you will follow joint courses in Sustainability, and specialised courses in your chosen track: Energy and Resources; Global Change and Ecosystems; Environmental Governance; or International Development. This last track has a mandatory internship in the first year. Most of the second year is spent on independent research for your final Master's thesis.
Some students may also participate in an International Joint Master's Programme. As a graduate of the SD programme, you will be eligible for PhD studies or a position in research institutes, government, business or an NGO.

welk collegegeldtarief moet ik betalen?
Meestal betaal je het "wettelijk tarief".Vereenvoudigd geldt:
- wettelijk tarief is het reguliere tarief voor studenten van binnen de EU/EER.
- langstudeerders betalen het wettelijk tarief + een boete van EUR 3.000,- per jaar.
- instellingstarief is voor studenten die al in het bezit zijn van een bachelor- of masterdiploma en een tweede studie willen beginnen waarmee ze dezelfde of een lagere graad behalen. Het instellingstarief geldt niet voor studenten die zich voor de eerste keer inschrijven voor een opleiding in de gezondheidszorg of het onderwijs.
- niet-EU/EER tarief is voor studenten van buiten de EU/EER.

Het collegegeld is sterk afhankelijk van je studie-geschiedenis en studiekeuze. Controleer het dus altijd in de collegegeld-wizard van de instelling!
