  • Interactive lectures (54 ECTS): a mix of lectures and seminars.
  • Hands-on learning practical's (15 ECTS): methods and statistics - scientific skills
  • Internal and international traineeships (15 ECTS): active research groups - apply research skills in practice.
  • Writing a research paper with individual guidance (12 ECTS): Very good articles can be submitted to an international journal!

  • Put your knowledge into practice during traineeships, at home or abroad, writing two scientific papers as part of the curriculum.
  • Become optimally prepared for further studies or job opportunities in science after graduation, such as PhD student or applied researcher.
This two-year program consists of 120 credits (ECTS), of which:

Interactive lectures (54 ECTS): The basic courses comprise a mix of lectures and seminars.

Hands-on learning practical's (15 ECTS): In these methods and statistics courses, you will acquire scientific skills through the supervision of an experienced mentor.

Internal and international traineeships (15 ECTS): You will be embedded in active research groups and experience what it is like to apply research skills in practice.

Writing a research paper with individual guidance (12 ECTS): As a scientist, you communicate your results via articles. You therefore learn to conduct a literature review and write a research article. Very good articles can be submitted to an international journal!

A sufficient academic background in research methodology and statistics. Your background education should contain at least one introductory statistics course and courses that include multiple regression, analysis of variance, factor analysis and research methodology. Your background should be clear from the course descriptions and the statistics checklist which you must include in your application;

Students have to pass one of the following English language proficiency tests.
TOEFL a minimum score of 600 (250 computer based) / (100 internet-based). The TOEFL institutional code for Tilburg University is 9860.
Academic IELTS score with a minimum of 7.0 score overall and a minimum score of 6.5 on individual parts of the test.
Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE): All grades.
Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): Grades A or B.
English language certificate (TOEFL/Academic IELTS). (For non-native speakers of English who apply);

Bachelor's or Master's degree, which provided (under)graduate training in a relevant discipline: Psychology, Human Resources, General Social Sciences, Pedagogics, Biology OR
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sociology or Organization Studies, as long as you have taken the minor in Human Resource Studies OR
You have successfully followed the Pre-Master's program in Human Resource Studies.
