The School of Business and Economics at the University of Münster and the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen have joined forces to set up a high quality, two-year double degree Master’s programme in Marketing & Information Systems.

In Groningen, the focus is on customer relations and insights. You will learn how to collect customer data and how to analyse these using the latest and most advanced marketing research methods. Also, you will be trained in methods that allow you to analyse and model secondary data and big data, to track the marketing performance of firms and generate new customer insights. In Münster, the programme is founded on two pillars: value-based marketing and information systems. You will learn how marketing programs can be designed to create value for both customers and firms.

All students will write a Master’s thesis (20 ECTS) in Groningen and a research paper (10 ECTS) in Münster. Note that you cannot directly apply for the two-year DD MSc as such. Instead, you have to apply for the second year in Münster after you have completed the first semester of the MSc in Marketing - MI track in Groningen.

1e jaar In Groningen, you will follow the Marketing Intelligence track course units (40 ECTS) focusing on advanced marketing research methods and marketing modelling. You will also write a Master's thesis worth 20 ECTS.

You cannot directly apply for admission to this Double Degree programme as such. Instead, you will first have to enrol in the MSc in Marketing (with the MI specialization). After the first semester, you can apply for the add-on year in Münster.

This is only open to students of the Marketing Intelligence track of the MSc in Marketing who have an average mark of at least 7.2. Selection will take place based on marks and motivation.

The EBF is your partner during your time in Groningen by organising events that support you with your studies and help you prepare for your future career.
The Marketing Association of the University of Groningen (MARUG) is the inter-departmental study association for students who are interested in marketing.
The MARUG acts as an intermediary between marketing theory and marketing practice and organises several career events and social activities during the year, such as a monthly social. At this moment, the MARUG has more than 1500 members from different fields of knowledge.
