Our research Master's programme is part of the Graduate School of the BSI that has internationally renowned researchers with expertise in a very wide range of topics. The BSI has excellent research facilities, including the Virtual Reality Lab, Observational Lab and Eye-tracking equipment, that our students are free to use. We have an international classroom: in 2017, 60 percent of our students are international students.

opbouwThe Research Master's programme in Behavioural Science has a course load of 120 EC (two years). In order to train students to become researchers in behavioural science, we offer four types of courses: Theory, Methods and Statistics, Professional Development and Research Experience. Contact with teachers is plentiful, supervision is personal, and the freedom to choose courses and research topics is substantial.
1e jaar The programme consist of 4 types of courses, essential for a researcher; Theory, Methods & Statistics, Professional Development and Research Experience. All these components are mandatory, but there is ample choice for students to create their own programme that will give them a unique profile based on their own professional and academic interests.

In the second year, for two whole semesters, students set up and carry out their own research project supervised by one or more BSI-researchers. Beroepsperspectief / arbeidsmarkt
There are plenty of options open to graduates of the Research Master's in Behavioural Science.The programme provides an excellent basis for a scientific research career and about three-quarters of our graduates have gone on to PhD positions. Our graduates have also gone on to do research for governmental organisations, research institutes such as Kentalis and Praktikon or research departments within organisations such as TNO and Cito.
Students are also highly sought after by (commercial) businesses and organisations because of their analytical skills, statistical knowledge and in-depth understanding of human behaviour. Other careers, such as policy maker, manager, journalist, etc. are certainly within reach.Potentiële beroepen
