Waarom aan de Maastricht University?

A unique feature of Maastricht University is Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Students work in small groups on an academic or practical problem. PBL is a student-centred approach to learning; your teachers are there to help you along, but you are in charge of the learning process. This active approach to teaching encourages you to get involved and allows you to voice your own opinion.

Throughout the MA GDS, problem-based learning (PBL) is used as the leading didactic principle. PBL typically involves students working on problems in small groups of 15 people with the assistance of a faculty tutor. Problems serve as the context for new learning. Their analysis and solution lead to the acquisition of new knowledge and integrated problem-solving skills. Hence, PBL requires students to be active rather than passive.
